FadingURL enables you to not only reduce
the size of your URL’s (like tinyurl.com), it also enables you to set them to expire
depending on your needs. So once the URL has expired, clicking on
it will no longer take the user to the previous URL.
Why do this?
Perhaps you have posted a URL to provide
information for
• an online auction or
• to your resume or
• on a forum or
• a marketing campaign
In all of these instances your information will often stay available
for much longer than the initial purpose of posting the URL. This
is usually beyond your control. Why not remove your information once
its purpose has been served?
fadingURL is a free service
to help make managing URL’s easier. Using it for any illegal
purposes (including spamming or phishing) is forbidden and upon notification
of any such use, will result in the fadingURL being disabled. You
will then be reported to all relevant ISP’s and government agencies.
This service is provided without warranty of any kind.
